Case battles: all 6 modes and 10 formats
Classic, Crazy, Jackpot, Crazy Jackpot, Terminal and Shared, plus every seat layout from 1v1 to 6-way shared. What wins, what gets paid and what happens on a tie.
A case battle is simple at its core: every player pays the same entry, everyone opens the same cases in the same order, and the value of everything unboxed goes to whoever the mode says wins. The mode decides who that is. The format decides how many seats there are and who is on whose team.
How a battle runs
- The creator picks 1 to 50 rounds (one case per round), a mode and a format. The entry per seat is the sum of those case prices.
- The battle's server seed is generated and its hash is shown before anyone else joins.
- The moment the last seat fills, every pull is derived at once and the battle starts. Each round is revealed on a shared clock, 4.2 seconds apart, so everyone watching sees the same round at the same time and a refresh picks up mid-battle.
- The prize is the total value unboxed by every player. It is paid out in coins to the winners once the last round lands.
- A winning team splits its payout evenly between its seats.
The 6 modes
| Mode | Who wins |
|---|---|
| Classic | The team with the highest total unboxed value. Ties split the prize between the tied teams. |
| Crazy | The team with the LOWEST total. Pulling a knife is how you lose. Ties split. |
| Jackpot | One ticket per 0.01 coin your team unboxes, plus one. After the last round one ticket is drawn from the battle seed. |
| Crazy Jackpot | A ticket draw with the weighting flipped: tickets = (highest team total − your total) + 1, so the weakest unboxer holds the most. |
| Terminal | Only the final round is scored. If it ties, sudden-death rounds of the last case are opened until one team leads (up to 10, then the prize is split). |
| Shared | No winner. Everything unboxed is pooled and split evenly across all players. Forced by, and only available with, the shared formats. |
Jackpot modes are the only ones where the smaller stack can still take everything. A team holding 10% of the tickets wins 10% of the time, and the draw uses its own message (clientSeed:jackpot) so it can never collide with a pull.
The 10 formats
| Format | Seats | Teams |
|---|---|---|
| 1v1 | 2 | Two solo players |
| 1v1v1 | 3 | Three solo players |
| 1v1v1v1 | 4 | Four solo players |
| 2v2 | 4 | Two teams of two |
| 3v3 | 6 | Two teams of three |
| 2v2v2 | 6 | Three teams of two |
| 2-Way Shared | 2 | Everyone on one team, pot split two ways |
| 3-Way Shared | 3 | Everyone on one team, pot split three ways |
| 4-Way Shared | 4 | Everyone on one team, pot split four ways |
| 6-Way Shared | 6 | Everyone on one team, pot split six ways |
In team formats a team's total is the sum of its players' pulls, so a teammate's gold pull can carry you. On mobile the battle room scrolls sideways instead of squashing six columns into a phone screen.
Bots, funding and private rooms
- If a battle has not filled after 10 seconds, the creator can fill the empty seats with bots. Bots pay nothing to enter, and if a bot wins, its share of the prize is burned rather than paid to anyone. Call bots when you would rather play now than wait, knowing they can beat you.
- A creator-funded battle has the creator pay for every seat, so anyone else joins free.
- Private battles are hidden from the public list and joinable only by link.
